Self-taught since the mid-1970s, Siang Jin stepped away from painting for three decades to build one of Malaysia's most respected media careers, as founding director of The Edge Malaysia and later Nexnews Bhd. Covid brought him back to the canvas. Since 2020 he's produced around 200 works across nine series, exhibited in Kuala Lumpur and internationally.
